Rebecca DeLoach is the Chief Operating Officer for Physicians Immediate Care Urgent Care Centers of St Lucie and Martin Counties, Florida. She has been employed by Physicians Immediate Care since January of 2003, beginning her career with the company as Office Manager of their original location and promoting throughout the years to Practice Manager, Regional Practice Manager and Regional Practice Administrator. Rebecca has 32 years of experience in the medical field beginning at the age of 17 as a CNA and working her way up through the years as a receptionist, medical assistant, laboratory assistant (processing specimens for testing), radiology assistant (developing film and filing), billing clerk, medical coder, billing manager, office coordinator, office manager, practice manager and practice administrator.
She began her higher education at Cumberland College in Williamsburg, KY however, after 2 years she longed to return to her home state of Florida and attended Indian River Community College in Fort Pierce, FL to pursue her career in the medical field. She has received certifications and training in many clinical and clerical areas of the medical practice spectrum which have included certified privacy officer for 5 HCA physician services facilities, certified drug screen collector, certified breath alcohol technician and certified breath alcohol trainer just to name a few.
Having worked in various specialties such as 8 years in a multi-specialty group, 7 years in a private rheumatology practice and for the past 16 years in urgent care management and administration, she has gained an excellent knowledge and background in the medical practice field. With impeccable attention to details and follow through, exemplary organizational skills and a strong financial planning and leadership background she has been instrumental in helping grow Physicians Immediate Care to its current 5 locations and 85 employees (one of the largest employers in St Lucie County, Florida).
