Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a common intestinal condition affecting the bowel causing frequent abdominal pain and bowel changes, such as constipation and diarrhea. IBS symptoms are unpredictable but have been associated with a high-fat, high-sugar diet, ingesting dairy, stress factors, sleep, genetics and female menstruation. IBS occurs when an abnormality ensues in the regulation of the psychology, physiology, and metabolic process between the stomach and brain causing the bowel to become irritated. IBS takes both an emotional and physical toll on the sufferer.
Thank you to all of those who joined us at the health fair held for at High Point this past Wednesday. The attendance was amazing! We were super excited to speak with so many residents about the services offered at Physicians Immediate Care! We look forward to seeing everyone next year!
For those of you who are High Point residents, we are just a few days away from the High Point Health Fair! We are looking forward to seeing so many familiar faces from last year and excited to meet new residents! If you plan on attending, make sure to stop by and say hello!
Attending for the third year in a row, Physicians Immediate Care is excited to be invited back to the High Point Health Fair, which will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. The High Point community has always strongly supported this event. We are always very impressed with the outpour of attendance this health fair draws in from both residents and vendors. Physicians Immediate Care, who will be represented at this event by our Director of Marketing Jeannie Jacobson, is overjoyed to be speaking to the High Point residents about the high-quality health care and an array of services that our offices provide. A few of the services we offer are laceration repair, simple burn treatment as well as treatment for sore throats, ear infections, urinary tract infections, among many others. All five of our convenient locations are equipped with on-site digital x-ray and ultrasound appointments are available, as indicated. Our offices, located in Ft. Pierce, Port St. Lucie and Jensen Beach, are open seven days a week, Monday through Friday 8 am to 8 pm, Saturday and Sunday 8 am to 5 pm, with no appointment necessary. If you have any questions, our friendly staff can be reached at 1-888-274-9113. We are incredibly thankful to be invited back to this great event and cannot wait to speak with the residents of the High Point community.
February 14th is National Donor Day, an observance day originally designated in 1998 by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Saturn Corporation and its United Auto Workers to raise awareness for organ, eye, tissue, marrow, platelet and blood donation. Today, nearly 120,000 patients are on the waiting list to receive a lifesaving organ transplant, and countless others are in need of cornea, tissue, bone marrow, blood and platelet donation.
